AI Use Notice
The chat assistant
- The chat assistant on our website is an automated AI system, not a person. Its answers are general information and can be wrong. It is not legal or immigration advice and cannot promise any visa outcome.
- Before your message leaves our server, passport numbers, ID numbers, phone numbers, emails and bank or card details are removed automatically. Please do not type them anyway. Names and addresses typed as free text may not be detected.
- Your redacted messages are sent to our AI provider to produce the answer, may be processed outside Sri Lanka, and are stored by us for 30 days so the conversation works. You can delete the conversation at any time with "Delete chat", or ask for a person with "Talk to a person".
- Using the chat is optional. You can always contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp instead.
AI-assisted letters and documents
Our staff may use AI tools to draft letters. A qualified staff member, different from the person who requested the draft, reviews and approves every AI-assisted document before it is issued, and the document says it was AI-assisted and who reviewed it. AI is never used to make decisions about you on its own.
