China's transit visa-free policy allows eligible travellers to stay in designated areas for 72 or 144 hours without a visa, depending on the port of entry. However, Sri Lankan passport holders need to verify eligibility carefully before relying on this policy.

Eligible Ports for 144-Hour Transit

  • Beijing Capital International Airport
  • Shanghai Pudong International Airport
  • Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport
  • Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

Important Conditions

You must have a confirmed onward ticket to a third country. You cannot exit the designated area without a visa. If you plan to visit cities, you need a Transit (G/C) visa, which NVCC can arrange with 3–5 days processing.
